Our jewelry is crafted from hand-picked, high-quality materials such as quartz, natural freshwater pearls, natural shells, opals, green patinas, and more. Select pieces, such as the shells and quartz, are dipped in 24k Gold.

Chains

We use only Gold-filled chains, which are tarnish-resistant, allergy free, and won't turn your skin green. Gold-filling involves solid Gold bonding to a brass base. The karat of the gold used is 14K and 18K. It is an affordable alternative to Solid Gold and behaves identically. Furthermore, if you care for gold-filled jewelry, it should last as long as, or close to, Pure Gold.

Pendants, Rings, and Earrings

Our pendants, rings, and earrings are gold-plated in 22k Gold. Gold-plated items are less likely to tarnish or rust over time, making them a durable and long-lasting option.

Patinas

Our patinas are crafted by hand to give each piece that one-of-a-kind-weathered metal appearance. We love the oxidized tone that looks like it came from the ocean.

Avoid exposing your jewelry to harsh chemicals, lotions, creams, chlorines, perfumes, salt water, and other solvents that can potentially cause damage.

To keep your pieces bright and shiny, gently wipe them with a soft cloth occasionally. Wash your chain with neutral soap and warm water if it becomes weathered.

We suggest hanging necklaces when not wearing to avoid tangling, and storing any other piece in a small box or pouch to prevent damage from natural sunlight and excess heat.

Depending on the frequency of wear, jewelry can tarnish over time. For a renewed look, you can always gold plate them again (Mina de Mar does not offer this service. However, you can find it at any jewelry store near your location).

If your piece is a blue patina, keep it away from water or cleaning product, since this patina can fade until it loses its bluish effect.

We want you to love and wear your piece! We recommend treating each piece carefully, as even the highest quality materials can snap or break if handled aggressively. Extreme bending, force, or rough handling is not a manufacturing fault, and Mina de Mar Jewelry will not be responsible for replacing mishandled products.

If your piece is green-blue patina, in addition to the mentioned care, you should also keep free of any jewelry and / or water cleaning product, since this patina can fade until it loses its bluish effect.

All our pieces are made under a standard of excellence in assembly, so we recommend giving you the necessary care so that it always looks like new.

Mina de Mar does not accept returns, however, if one of our pieces has any defect due to assembly or you receive a product other than the one requested, it will be replaced without any inconvenience, we will gladly address your case through an email.
